Tis the Season for the Holidays at WTC

The holiday season is a time of joy and togetherness, and there's no better place to experience that than on the World Trade Center campus. Bustling year-round, the holiday season offers both visitors and locals alike a unique and memorable experience at the iconic destination.

Throughout the holiday season, we have several Oculus lightings to celebrate the upcoming holidays:

  • November 24 through holiday season: Holiday lighting (Blue)
  • December 7: First night of Hanukkah (Blue and White)
  • December 23-25: Christmas (Red and Green)
  • December 26: Kwanzaa (Red, Black, and Green)
  • December 31-1 New Years Eve/Day (Yellow)

8 Things to see and do this holiday season on the WTC Campus:

1. Winter Whirl Roller Rink:

This holiday season for the first time ever, Westfield opened Winter Whirl, a roller-skating rink inside the Oculus! Alongside the annual holiday market there will also be festive music playing and areas throughout to snap holiday-themed photos. The rink will be open from November 24th to January 21st. Winter Whirl operates Wednesday-Sunday 11am-10pm and will be closed on December 25. More details and tickets here

2. Liberty Park’s Holiday Décor:

Enjoy a stroll through Liberty Park and admire the holiday garland and illuminated Christmas tree, Hanukkah menorah, and reindeers.

3. Hanukkah Menorah (Inside the Oculus):

Designed by Michael and Bonnie Berkowicz, the World Trade Center Menorah honors the Twin Towers and features a piece of their structural steel. The Menorah is lit every night of Hanukkah starting December 7th.

 

4. Holiday Concert Series:

PAC NYC will hold a series of concerts, “Circle Songs: A Holiday Concert Series” this holiday season. Learn more here.

5. Decorations Around Campus:

Christmas trees and Hanukkah menorahs illuminated in the lobbies of 3WTC, 4WTC and 7WTC. More information about other decorations around campus here.

 

6. Kaleidoscope New Year Around the World:

Enjoy a multicultural dance performance by a youth group dressed in traditional clothing.

 

7. Shopping in the Oculus:

Shoppers can discover the perfect gift for their loved ones – whether it is a trendy winter item, delicious treat, or innovative technology. Shops are open: Mon-Fri 9am-8pm, Sat 10am-8pm, & Sun 11am-7pm. Full list of shops here
