Yes, the World Trade Center is a film-and-photo-friendly campus. Different requests require different types of permits. Please contact us for more information on obtaining a permit for a film or photo shoot.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey owns, operates, and manages permitting for the Oculus, North and South Oculus Plazas, Liberty Park, and other public spaces around the 16-acre campus. Additional spaces are available for filming and photo shoots through our campus tenants and stakeholders. Reach out for more information.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey owns, operates, and manages permitting for the Oculus, North and South Oculus Plazas, Liberty Park, and other public spaces around the 16-acre campus. For media access to these spaces, approval must be received in advance from Port Authority Media Relations at (212) 435-7777. If you’re bringing a tripod or have a crew of five or more (including for non-commercial use), a permit is required. Please contact us for more information.
The Oculus is a 24/7 facility. We recommend scheduling film and photo shoots during non-peak hours, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. There are also restricted areas within the space where filming is not permitted. Please reach out for more details.
Due to vehicle restrictions, all parking must be done off-campus.
